"Yes, of course I'm of Polish descent. And in the past I've traveled with my mother who is a Polish citizen. I've crossed the border at Kostrzyn into Germany, Przemysl into Ukraine, there was never any problem (except with Ukrainian and Bialorussian authorities).
You are welcome to confirm any of this with the Polish consulate in Toronto, which I suggest you do if you still have doubt. But I warn you that they are not very organized or patient people. The building is however agreeable."
