NEVER AGAIN ASSOCIATION

NEVER AGAIN ASSOCIATION: "Poland may be a good example that racism exists not only in multiethnic and multicultural societies, as many people claim. Polish society is almost homogenous with only about 5% of ethnic minorities. The racists also consider as their enemies and targets of violence people who differ from their 'image of true Poles', e.g. homosexuals, homeless, people with alternative lifestyle etc.

No other sphere of life in Poland seems to have been affected so profoundly by racism and fascism as football grounds."

The program will provide information, perspective and skills for future leaders.

"Q: Why is the language of instruction not Polish?

A: Most, if not all, Polish-Americans and Polish-Canadians born and raised in North America speak, read, and write much better in English than in Polish. In many cases, they speak no Polish at all.

We want to eliminate the language barrier that prevents so many Polish Americans and Canadians from learning more about their Polish heritage and from taking part in a lively discussion of Polish and Polonian issues. This does not mean that we don?t encourage the learning of the Polish language. In fact, a greater appreciation of their Polish heritage could serve as a great motivator to study the language."
