180 people have been arrested after night riots that took place in Warsaw after Poland-Russia football match. The arrests had been carried on until late hours.

 17th of September (today) is an anniversary of Soviets invading Eastern part of Poland in 1939. I did not realize it until I posted the article. We never celebrated this date in Poland because the official propaganda blamed the war only on Nazi Germany.

We are approaching another anniversary of 4 June 1992 when united powers of the former communists, the Liberal – Democratic Congress under the leadership of Donald Tusk; some of Independent Poland Confederation (KPN), and Christian-National Union MPs, with today’s Civic Platform MP Stefan Niesiolowski, took part in a confidential meeting where it was decided that the government under Prime Minister Jan Olszewski was to be overthrown.
